The Cambodian people are warm and welcoming as the remnants of war have been vanished from their minds. Cambodia lies within the border of Thailand to its west and northwest, Laos to its northeast, and Vietnam to its east and southeast. The general climate can be described as tropical. Cambodia is the gateway to an exotic land, the world heritage site, the largest religious complex in the world, the temples of Angkor in the west, the beaches of the southern coast and the ethnic minorities of the northeastern provinces. The city offers several cultural and historical attractions including the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. Asia Horizon's volunteer program in such a gorgeous land offers you to discover beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritages while serving to poor children and local communities.

Work in Orphanage
Securing a safe future for the children has become a great concern in Cambodia. Thousands of children in Cambodia are taking shelter in orphanages. Many children have been affected by sexual exploitation, trafficking or kidnapping.
Asia Horizon is continuously working for the welfare of children in close collaboration with several Cambodian Community organizations to provide support for the destitute children at Childcare Center in Phnom Penh. As a child care volunteer in Cambodia, you can make a great difference in the life of over 70 orphans and destitute children who are newly born to 24 years old.
Asia Horizon offers its HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse program in Cambodia to provide counseling and education. Our program focuses on promoting awareness on HIV prevention,sexual health and drug abuse.

Because of unstable past and years of desolation, thousands of Cambodians did not have the opportunity to receive a formal education. However, now the peace has been restored and many Cambodians have better access to schooling.
