Our 4-week Nepal and Thailand volunteer combo gives you the opportunity to experience Nepal and Thailand while serving orphaned children in Kathmandu and Bangkok.

Thailand is an eye-catching land occupied with mountains, plains, white sandy beaches, and lush forests. Thailand offers unique taste of culture, vivid picture of Thai life, golden temples and exotic sights for visitors. Like most Asian cultures, respect towards ancestors is an indispensable part of Thai spiritual practice. On the other, Nepal is a landlocked country in Southern Asia, between China and India. Nepal has eight of the world's 10 highest peaks, including Mount Everest. Enriched with incredible cultural beauty and geographical diversity, Nepal recently was declared a republic and has abolished the age-old monarchy. Adventure-seeking travelers can have everlasting memory of white water-rafting, trek along snowy, mountainous trails, jungle safari and many more.

Proposed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok, transfer to Asia Horizon hostel

Day 2: You will be given 1-2 hours orientation about project, host family, safety issues, and general rules of program. Transfer to project, introduction to project staff, host family and project work begins.

Day 2-12: Child Development Centers are taking care of children between the age of 2-6 years in nearby cities and industrial areas in Thailand. As a destitute children supporter in childcare center in Thailand, you will help teaching them to speak, write, walk and run. You will also help to sing songs, dance, play sports and fun games. Participants can formulate their own plans to perform the classes that outfit the need and interest of the young children. You can help these children with activities related to day-care and physical development. You can also teach them any other skills, whatever you know, from arts to music, to anything. You will also work in nearby primary schools during the day. The working hours are between 8:00 am – 12:00 noon.

Day 13: Closing of Thailand program, prepare for departure to Nepal

Volunteers will go to Nepal from Thailand by plane that is approximately 3-hour flight from Bangkok to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to Asia Horizon hostel.

Day 15: You will be given 1-2 hours orientation about project, host family, safety issues, and general rules of program. Transfer to project, introduction to project staff, host family and project work begins.

Day 16 – 27: volunteers will work in an orphanage in Kathmandu.

As a volunteer in orphanage project in Nepal, you will primarily assist to boost the knowledge, skill and competence of disadvantaged and poor children of the country. By serving the orphans in orphanages, you will be offering them a different perspective on life that they can carry into adulthood.

Working in an orphanage is a real rewarding job. The orphanage centers run by our partners accommodate 20-30 boys and girls between the ages of 3 to 15. Although this is not an English teaching placement, you will have the opportunity to teach English during your stay in the orphanage and conduct creative programs including games, music, art, drawing, painting, health, nutrition, and sanitation. If you are skilled in sewing, painting, tailoring, crafting, typing, and computing, you can teach these skills to the children as well. Volunteers’ love, care, teaching of English language and sharing the experiences of their own would be a great assistance to gain confidence to them thereby making their future more secure, livable and prosperous.

Day 28: Closing of Nepal program, farewell and departure.

1. Our volunteers can choose any project that we offer.

3. Volunteers can extend the length of volunteering period in any country.
