In such a fascinating country, Asia Horizon runs its Mini Volunteer and Travel Program throughout the year. As a volunteer, you will have the exclusive opportunity for cultural tour and discover the historical magnificent of country. Our volunteers help poor children in orphanages during the first 10 days of their stay. Then volunteers will be taken to India’s famous “Golden Triangle” tour consisting of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
Sample Program Itinerary
Our two weeks mini-venture in India is divided into three phases:
Phase I: One-day Orientation
Phase II: 10 days volunteering program with the destitute children in orphanage
Phase III: 4-day Golden Triangle Tour
Day 0: Welcome at Asia Horizon India office, orientation on general issues, including volunteer project, work responsibilities, health, safety issues, culture and traditions and other relevant issues.
Day 1-10: For ten days, participants will work in an orphanage and contribute in the development and growth of some of the most deprived and neglected children in the world. Your stay with host family is one of the biggest opportunities to observe the culture and traditions of India very closely. This type of chance is very rare in life that money cannot buy. During your free time, you can tour around with your new friends exploring the surrounding areas and local markets.
Role of Volunteers in Orphanage
You will help the children in various skill-developing activities and teaching English. You may also help with homework; feeding and helping the children with their personal hygiene and lend a helping hand with other odd tasks. The orphanage centers run by our partners accommodate 50-70 boys and girls aged between 3 and 14.
Project Skills
No specific skills and qualifications are required. However, volunteers joining orphanage projects should have love and passion for serving poor kids. Volunteers should also be flexible, self-motivated with open mind to learn and serve to the people of new culture and religion.
Project Location
Our placements are located in Delhi. It is an international metropolis having a perfect amalgamation of New and Old Delhi each presenting appetizingly distinct experiences. Volunteers will explore ancient temples, captivating ancient monuments and magnificent museums. Spacious New Delhi was built as the imperial capital of India by the British and crowd and noisy Old Delhi served as the capital of Islamic India. You can enjoy visiting the dramatic Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Lotus temple, local bazaars and many more.
Golden Triangle Tour (3 days and 4 nights)
You will embark on a 4-day tour through India’s famous historical and cultural places --Delhi, Jaipur and Agra-- known as “Golden Triangle.” These places disclose the historically rich past and astounding diversity of India. The trip exposes you both architectural and natural beauty of India. You will discover Agra Red Fort and the marble masterpiece of Shah Jahan's Taj Mahal in Agra. Pink City of Jaipur with landmarks such as Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, City Palace etc, are known for its excellence in architectural designs.
Day 11: Delhi to Jaipur: Depart by car/bus to Jaipur (258 Km. 4 hrs. drive approx). Arrive Jaipur; check-in to the hotel, tour of Amber Fort, the climb to the fort is on elephant back. Enjoy the sights of the Pink City, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Jaipur to Agra: Drive to Agra (232 km. 4 hrs drive approx). Arrive at Agra, check-in to the hotel. Visit to the Taj Mahal, Agra fort and tour of Agra city. Overnight stay at the hostel.
Day 13: Drive to Delhi (205 kms. 4 hrs. drive. approx). Overnight stay at the hostel.
Day 14: Evaluation, farewell and departure

Cancellation Policy
• Cancellation after acceptance and prior to placement confirmation – the deposit is forfeited
• Cancellation after confirmation of placement – 50% of the program fee is forfeited
• No Show or Early Departure from Program – If you notify Asia Horizon of a requested cancellation of a Project on or after the start of the Project Period, no refund whatsoever will be made to you under any conditions or for any reasons100% of the program fee is forfeited.
