Throughout the year, our volunteers in India work with more than a dozen dynamic organizations in their attempt to assist the most destitute community people. As a part of our India program, you will have the unique opportunity for language and cultural program. The one-week language and culture program offers you the opportunity to learn directly from India’s life experiences. Through this program, volunteers can learn about India and become familiar with the local language, culture, and heritage of the land. During this period, you will live among the people of the land just like a native. Volunteers will learn the basic phrases and verbs that are common in Indian daily life. The first week of the program helps you to develop your competency in Hindi language prior to practice in the field.
